Artistically renovated in 2003, the main house contains, downstairs, a spacious living room with high, beamed ceilings, a separate dining room, a study, a breakfast nook, a full bathroom, a large kitchen and a storage pantry. The rustic atmosphere is complimented by the restoration of its original stone walls, ceramic tiling throughout and modern lighting to highlight the natural beauty of the house. Two woodburning stoves are more than sufficient to heat the entire house in winter and an overhead ceiling fan and thick walls maintain its coolness in the summer.

|
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms (one large enough to be converted into two), both with closet areas, and a bathroom with shower. A decorative balcony extends, Spanish style, into and above the living room and the wrought-iron banister and corridor railing compliment the wooden staircase and stone walls. Modern aluminium windows are double glazed and open both horizontally and vertically. Most are topped with thick wooden beams, as are the glass doors.

The front porch of the main house overlooks the garden and the Mediterranean. Thick Pandora vines create a cool canopy in summer for outdoor dining and relaxing, an incredible floral display in autumn, as well as allowing the warm sun to penetrate in winter, creating a year-round al fresco dining porch. In the large rustic kitchen, the stove, oven and fridge are powered by gas, as is the hot water heater. The swimming pool is bordered by a broad wooden deck, ideal for sunning, and beside the brick barbeque there is a wooden gazebo for outdoor dining and entertaining. Geraniums and pink oleaners flourish here almost all the year around, as well as other climbing and flowering vines

The charming semi-detached cottage next door was designed for weekly holiday rentals but could easily be used as a guest cottage or joined directly to the main house. It has enjoyed two successful summers of rentals extending from March to October. The first year, thirteen weeks were rented, the second, nineteen. Rentals result from two ads on the internet, one on holiday-rentals.com and the other on holiday lettings.co.uk. These ads are currently monitored by a local agent who responds to questions, accepts bookings and meets guests when they arrive and takes them to the property, however, this could easily be handled by the owners themselves. Downstairs, the guest house contains an open plan living/ dining room/ kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs are three bedrooms and another bathroom with shower. Beside the rental cottage is a small semi-detached shed. This is currently used for storage of tools and farm equipment, but could very easily be converted into another small cottage.

The total size of the farm buildings is 380 square meters. The property at "Mas de Pinaret" has been well maintained in recent years. Beside the main house there is an orchard centering around an enourmous walnut tree... a perfect place for hammocks and al fresco dining. There are orange and mandarin trees, lemons and grapefruits, cherry, apple, quince, pear and plum and fig, as well as hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds.

The approximatly 400 olive trees bear fruit annually. The current owners have yielded up to 6 tons of raw olives in one year, however, crops may be maintained by local farmers, if desired. There are two other small saleable crops: carobs and almonds. The terraces have been kept clean and cleared and chemical additives and products kept to the barest minimum in keeping with the environmentally friendly theme of the property

"Mas de Pinaret" is self-sufficient energy-wise. By means of solar panels, a wind generator, a back up diesel generator, batteries and an inverter, sufficient electricity is produced simply and easily to supply the two houses. A separate shed houses the generator and diesel tank keeping noise to a minimum. A 20,000 litre water cisterna is filled either by rain water via guttering on the roof of the main house, or may be purchased at a nominal fee from the town and delivered to the property.
